Colville tribes to pay $245,000 in behavioral health false claims settlement

SPOKANE – The Colville tribes have agreed to pay $245,860 in a settlement with the Department of Justice to resolve false claim allegations arising out of billing irregularities related to the tribes' Behavioral Health Unit - Youth Counseling services, Tuesday.

The tribe admitted no wrongdoing in the voluntary settlement.

"This settlement shows both our commitment to protect tax payer dollars and the Colville Tribes' commitment to providing quality and responsible health and health education services to its' membership," said Michael Ormsby, United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Washington.
