Remember and forgive the past
January 9, 2017
After the presents were unwrapped and adults and children alike were sleeping in a warm bed following the Christmas festivities, a small group was gathered at Old Town Coffee Saloon in downtown Jordan to share companionship, mend bridges and heal.
Dawn was a couple of hours off, but that did not stop a small group of volunteers from venturing out to welcome the Native American runners participating in the 30th annual Remembrance Run, which begins at Fort Snelling and ends at Land of Memories Park in Mankato.
The runners trickled into the coffee shop between 4:30 and 5 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 26 and were treated to ham and turkey soup and hot coffee.
