Pine Ridge man charged in shooting death on reservation

PINE RIDGE, S.D. — A Pine Ridge man, 26, has been indicted for second degree murder for allegedly shooting a man in the stomach during an argument and killing him.

Thomas Joseph Brewer appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Daneta Wollmann last week and pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The maximum penalty upon conviction is life imprisonment.
