Women's March on Washington – Minnesota (Formally know as the Gathering for Justice)

MINNEAPOLIS-SAINT PAUL, MN – On January 21, 2017 – the day after the Presidential Inauguration, over 200,000 women are expected to congregate in Washington D.C., in solidarity with our partners and children for the protection of our rights, our safety, our health, and our families -- recognizing that our vibrant and diverse communities are the strength of our country.

Well over a thousand Minnesotans have indicated on the Women’s March on Washington – Minnesota to D.C. Facebook page that they will be traveling to our Nation’s Capitol to join this gathering. This gathering will send a bold message to our new administration on their first day in office, and to the world that women's rights are human rights. We stand together, recognizing that defending the most marginalized among us is defending all of us. This is a rally and march – NOT a protest against the President.

If you wish to join 200,000 other people who feel strongly about the recent negative political rhetoric against so many different people and groups, get your bus tickets now for the March at http://www.tempotickets.com/MNtoDC. Travel will be January 20-22. Departure locations include Minneapolis, Saint Paul, Duluth, Mankato, Winona, and Rochester.

If you can’t make the March in Washington, D.C., join the sister march in Saint Paul on January 21. Information is available at: http://www.womensmarchmn.com.

We call on all defenders of human rights to join us. This march is the first step towards unifying our communities, grounded in new relationships, to create change from the grassroots level up.
