Rodney Dale Strong "Rock Steady" 57, of Bemidji and the Bear Clan began his journey on December 7, 2016 from Sanford Hospital in Bemidji, Minnesota. He was born in Chicago, Illinois December 8, 1959 to Burton Strong and Agnes "Logger" Beaulieu.

Rocky or "Rock Steady" as he like to call himself grew up mostly in Minneapolis but spent his later adult life in Bemidji and Redby working many different jobs including many years at the Northern Lights Casino. Visiting family and friends, helping people out and playing the slots were some of his favorite pastimes, but riding his "War Pony" was this favorite. He won his bicycle in a drawing and one time rode it all the way from Bemidji to Brainerd, but his kids were his world. He loved them very much. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

The family welcoming him to the spirit world are his parents; Burton and Agnes, Uncle; Roman Beaulieu, Sr., Special brother; Roman Beaulieu, Jr., and Aunt Alice Beaulieu.

He leaves behind his son; Rodney Papish, daughters; Leanna Papish, Debbie Papish, and Kelly Strong, brother; Randolph Beaulieu, special sisters; Ramona Needham, and Ronalda Charnoski, special brother; Reginald Beaulieu, Sr., special nephew; Reginald Beaulieu, Jr., special aunt; Betty Beaulieu, and aunt Mary Rose Burnette, 3 grandsons, and 4 granddaughters, and many nieces, nephews and cousins

A wake for Rocky will begin at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 10th and continue until the 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 12th service, all being held at the Redby Community Center, Redby, MN. Father Jerry Rogers will be officiating. Pallbearers for Rocky will be Reginald "Beebles" Beaulieu, Randolph "Maushie" Needham, Ryan "Ry Dawg" Needham, Michael Dahmen. Austin Needham and Donovan Needham.

Alternate pallbearers are Less Donnell and Jonathan Beaulieu. His honorary pallbearers are Jerry Mitchell, Simon Roybal, Gordon Rogers, James Needham, Jr., Jonnie Beaulieu, Connie Beaulieu, Raymond Smith, Selena Reyes, Debbie Cournoyer, Genieva Beaulieu, and all the staff at the People's Church.

Interment will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery at Red Lake, Minnesota following his Monday service.
