EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- The Minnesota Vikings have released struggling kicker Blair Walsh, the team announced Tuesday morning, Nov. 15.
Walsh is 12 of 16 this season on field-goal attempts and 15 of 19 on extra points this season, and finished last season by missing a 27-yard field goal that would have beaten Seattle in the playoffs in a frigid game at TCF Bank Stadium. Instead, the Vikings lost 10-9.
A source said the Vikings are expected to sign Kai Forbath to replace Walsh. He was said to be en route to the Twin Cities.
