Theresa "Mattie" Dunkley (Miskwaanakwadookwe, Red Cloud Woman; King Fisher Clan –

Mah quambay), 84 of Redby, MN died Monday, November 14, 2016 at the Jourdain Perpich Extended Care Facility in Red Lake.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 pm, Thursday, November 17, 2016 at the Redby Center in Redby, Minnesota with Rev. George Ross officiating. A wake will begin at 5:00 pm, Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at the Redby Center, with Anna Gibbs (Waasabeek) providing traditional Indian services and Eyabay singers, and go until the time of the service. Interment will be at the St. Antipas Episcopal cemetery in Redby, MN under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji.

She was born October 25, 1932 the daughter of George Oldman and Pauline Iceman. Mattie enjoyed playing bingo, attending pow-wow singing and dancing, playing cards, beading, and sewing. Mattie especially loved watching her kids playing sports. She was a resident of Little Earth from day one, over 30 years, and was proud to be part of the Little Earth Resident Council.

She is survived by her children: Barbara Ramos, Regina Dunkley, Albert Dunkley, Debra Dunkley, Roberta Dunkley, Karen Davis, Michael Dunkley, Sr., Sandra Sayers and Valerie Dunkley and numerous grandkids, great grandkids and great great grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her dad George Oldman, mother Pauline Iceman, daughter Patricia Eylandt, brothers and sisters David Jones, Theodore Jones, Beatice Longie, Edna Moreno and Mary Oldman.

Active Casketbearers will be Mattie's Grandsons, Ginew, Tim, Ricardo, Ingo, Clayton, Jesse

Honorary Casketbearers will be Lucille Auginash, Loretta Pacheco, Betty Jones, Marilyn Jones, Cheri Goodwin, all Jourdain Perpich Staff and Residents, her grandkids, great grandkids and great great grandkids.
