Three potential winter storm-related scenarios that will likely affect your area this weekend

A change in the weather is coming. This is something we have known for a couple of weeks. A pattern change will bring an end to the seemingly endless mild and sunny November days. A switch to near-average weather is coming later this week and even average weather will be a shock.

However, there is the potential of a big winter storm arriving with the change in temperature. As of Monday night, we cannot possibly have any specifics about the potential track of a low-pressure system Thursday night into the weekend. But there is certainly a possibility of this turning into a big storm.

A lot depends on the track. A more northwesterly track could mean less snow and more rain or freezing rain on Friday.
