Lucachick tops Morris to remain on Beltrami County Commission
BEMIDJI—Beltrami County Commissioner Jim Lucachick earned a third term on the board early Wednesday morning, defeating Ralph Morris, his challenger for the seat, by 1,312 votes.
All five of the district's precincts reported results by 12:55 a.m. Wednesday. Lucachick came away with a total of 2,686 votes. Morris earned 1,374.
Throughout the election season, Lucachick, a 57-year-old self employed architect, remained consistent on his pledge to address the level of the tax levy.
