Puyallup Tribal Officer helps grieving mom victimized by thieves

Thoughtful,” “selfless,” “classy” and “kind” – some of the words to describe the actions of Puyallup Tribal Police Officer Joseph O'Connell who recently helped a grieving mother in Tacoma.

Lindsey Othmer was already grieving over the loss of her baby boy when thieves stole her Honda Civic from South Highland Avenue. The care also served as a mobile memorial to her baby, as her son accidentally choked to death three months ago. On the back window, it had angel wings and a halo surrounded by the words “In Loving Memory” and “Isaac Matthew Nunes.”

“That car is more than material value; it is sentimental value to me, to my son to his father,” said Othmer.
