Emmett Lien Amos, age 55, of Sisseton, South Dakota Journeyed to the Spirit World on Monday, October 24, 2016 at his residence.

He was born on June 13, 1961 in Sisseton, South Dakota the son of Gabriel Amos Sr. and Naomi Small.

He honorably served in The United States Army.

Emmett was formerly employed at Walmart.

Survived by his sons: Daniel Amos and Mason Amos; a daughter: Laurissa Amos; a grandchild: Maeanna Cloud; a brother: Harold Amos Sr. and by sisters: Beverly Amos, Olive "Sioux" Forsing, Susie "Lydia" Amos, Delilah Paul, Mary Amos, Laura Amos, Zella Utley and Carleen Amos; other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents.

A visitation for Emmett Lien Amos will be held on Tuesday, October 25th at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Sisseton, South Dakota from 7-9 P.M. An all-night wake begins on Wednesday, October 26 at 7:00 P.M. at The Community Center in Old Agency Village.

Funeral services for Emmett Amos will be held on Thursday, October 27th at 11:00 A.M. at The Community Center. Officiating will be Bishop Dan Blank and Gerald Amos-Elder of the Presbyterian Church. Interment will be held at the Amos Family Plot in Big Coulee.

Special music by Big Coulee Choir at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Honorary Casket Bearers will be All of Emmett's friends and family.

Casket Bearers will be Steven Baldus Sr., Roland Heminger, Nick Rondell Jr., Khamlei Somsovath, Marlin Amos and Moses Gill.
