Tribal Foster and Adoptive Family Recruitment Fair set for Oct. 22

The 2016 Tribal Foster and Adoptive Family Recruitment Fair will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, at Glorieta Baptist Church, 7308 S. Western Ave., Oklahoma City.

The keynote speaker, Daryle Conquering Bear Crow, will talk about tribal youth who experience the child welfare system. He is an advocate for the Indian Child Welfare Act and tribal foster and adoptive homes.

Various tribal agencies, the Oklahoma Department of Human Services and several contracted vendors will be present to share information about foster care and adoption.

There will be children’s activities, door prizes and a foster and adoptive care panel. Lunch will be provided.

The Tribal Foster and Adoptive Family Recruitment Fair is open to the public at no charge. For more information, contact (918) 287-5335.
