2016 Trust Fund Distribution Announcement

The Red Lake Tribal Council has approved a $250.00 trust payment distribution for the enrolled membership of the Red Lake Band of Chippewa Indians.

CHECK DISTRIBUTION WILL BE SATURDAY, DECEMBER 17, 2016

8:00 AM to 8:00 PM for on-reservation members only

Redby, Red Lake and Little Rock Districts will be distributed at the Red Lake Humanities Center.

Ponemah District will be at the Ponemah Boys and GIrls Club.

All checks not picked up at the distribution sites will be mailed on Monday, December 19, 2016

ALL OFF RESERVATION MEMBER CHECKS WILL BE MAILED DECEMBER 15, 2016

Address change and proof of guardianship: Monday, November 28, 2016 at 5:00 PM

If you have moved or changed your box number you must update this information

Proof of guardianship must be one of the following:

Current Court Order

Custody Order

Relative Care Verification

MFIP Verification

Enrollment Application Deadline for this payment is: Friday, November 4, 2016 - 5:00 PM

Please submit the following to the Enrollment Office to apply for enrollment:

1) A completed NOTARIZED application

2) Certified State issues Birth Certificate

3) All other documentation as stated on the enrollment application

Incomplete applications will not be accepted or processed

Applications are available at the Duluth and Minneapolis Urban Offices

Checks reported lost will have a 60-day waiting period before it will be re-issued. A $20.00 stop payment fee will be deducated from the check.

Stolen checks MUST be reported to your local law enforcement. Stolen checks will not be re-issued by the Accounting Department. Recovery of any stolen check must be pursued through your local court system.

NO CHECKS WILL BE ISSUED AFTER MARCH 31, 2017. Unclaimed monies are required to be returned.

ATTENTION: This announcement serves as notice that any trust fund disbursement made by the Red Lake Band of Chippewa Indians to any Red Lake Tribal Member shall NOT be considered in determining the eligibility for denying or reducing benefits for financial assistance or other benefits to which the household or member would be entieled to pursuant to Public Law 98-64 and affirmed in the Notice of the Federal Register, Vol. 67, No. 107.
