ST. PAUL -- Minnesota saw a record-breaking 73,478 voters pre-register online on Monday, Oct. 17, shattering the previous one-day record of nearly 27,000 online voter registrations, according to Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon.
The record number includes new registrations and updates to existing registrations, Simon said in a statement released Tuesday, Oct. 18.
Tuesday was the last day for Minnesotans to pre-register to vote ahead of the Nov. 8 general election.
