Onward Onamia Public Schools

Onamia Public Schools have come a long way when it comes to opening dialogue between students, faculty, staff and parents. With the student population at Onamia schools more than half Native American, the school has been committed to the work they are doing to create the most inclusive and culturally relevant educational programs for all students, according to JJ Vold, K-12 principal and interim superintendent said.

“Sometimes there is nothing in the world more powerful than a conversation and listening,” Vold said.

“We will continue to drive our work forward, open up more and more courageous conversations with our students, families and community members, and ensure that we have a rich school environment with inclusive relevant and rigorous academic programs for all students,” Vold added.
