Lino Lakes helicopter crash has 'multiple fatalities'

“Multiple fatalities” were reported Thursday evening after a helicopter crashed in a field near a cluster of homes in the northeast metro city of Lino Lakes.

As of late Thursday, it remained a grim mystery how many people were killed and what kind of helicopter it was because the crash and resulting fire so thoroughly destroyed the craft, authorities said. The Federal Aviation Administration was investigating.
