With autumn, comes the award-winning 12th annual National Indian Taco Championship on Saturday in downtown Pawhuska. The popular event features freshly cooked Indian tacos, vendors and traders, competitions, music, American Indian dancing and a variety of entertainment.
New vendors and competitions most likely will mean huge crowds from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday at the admission-free event, according to Patricia Counts, event chairperson of the Pawhuska Chamber of Commerce.
