Gila River police plan benefit car wash for fallen Navajo Nation officer

The Gila River Police Department will host a car wash for the family of fallen Navajo Nation Officer Leander Frank from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 24.

The benefit will be held at Wild Horse Pass Casino, 5040 Wild Horse Pass Boulevard, with all proceeds going to the Frank family.

Frank was responding to a call when he was involved in a head-on collision Aug. 30 on Navajo Route 64, according to a report by the Associated Press.
