Authorities: Woman dies after being shot by sister in Warner Springs

A woman shot Friday at a home on the Los Coyotes Indian Reservation has died, authorities said. She was identified Wednesday as the sister of the suspect deputies arrested.

An autopsy report shows that Carrie Deatherage, 51, suffered a single gunshot wound to the head, said sheriff’s homicide Lt. Kenn Nelson. She was hospitalized in grave condition and died Tuesday.

Her death was ruled a homicide by the Medical Examiner’s Office.
