Louise Ann Durant, age 49, of Bemidji, began her spiritual journey on Friday, September 16, 2016 from the Cass Lake IHS. Louise was born in Cass Lake, Minnesota on August 30, 1967, the daughter of Joyce Marie (Garbow) and David Alfred Durant.

Louise liked spending time with children, her family and her friends. She knew everyone's birthday. Louise liked to play scrabble, do crossword and playing Keno at the casino. She enjoyed visiting and listening to music (CCR). She adored for children and loved her family very much.

Louise has been reunited with her infant son; Joseph Ryan Durant, parents; Joyce and David Durant, sisters; Brenda M. Oberg and Marilyn Garbow, brother; Melvin Durant, Sr., grandparents; Lillian Garbow and William Garbow, aunties; Louise Garbow, Izetta Rushman and Joyce Durant and uncles; Ernest Garbow, Sr. and Dennis Garbow, Sr.

She leaves behind to forever cherish her memory her sons; Michael Durant of Cass Lake, Louie Sailor III and Loren Sailor both of Bemidji, daughters; Jennifer Rose (Gregory) Durant and Lia Sailor both of Cass Lake, significant other; Louis Sailor, Jr. of Bemidji, sister; Annabell (Gordon) Kingbird of Bemidji, uncle; Frances Garbow and other relatives and friends.

An overnight wake for Louise will begin at 6:00 p.m., Monday, September 19, 2016 and continue until her traditional service at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 20th all being held at the Inger Community Center in Inger, MN. Steve Jackson will be her Spiritual Leader. Pallbearers for Louise will be Gregory Morgan, Eugene Howard, Henry Rushman, Jr., Robert Rushman, Ernest Johnson, Jr. and Jay Saros. Alternate pallbearers are Gordon Kingbird and Jerome Roy. Louise's honorary pallbearers are her children, her nieces and nephews. Interment will be in the Inger Cemetery following her service on Tuesday.
