Man cut slack because of aboriginal ancestry now charged with assaulting TTC drivers

TORONTO - When Jesse Armitage was caught stealing while on probation in Toronto, a judge went out of his way to cut the petty criminal some slack because of his aboriginal ancestry.

But 18 months later, the 31-year-old is in trouble with the law once again — this time for allegedly attacking two TTC drivers and a police officer on Sunday.

Toronto Police say a TTC rider assaulted the first bus driver near Ossington Ave. and Dupont St. around 5:30 p.m.
