Poplar woman enters plea in child homicide case

A Poplar woman accused of killing a toddler earlier this year entered her pleas in U.S. District Court on Thursday.

Janelle Red Dog, 42, pleaded not guilty to four felonies; first-degree murder under the felony murder rule, second degree murder, child abuse and accessory after the fact.

According to the indictment, which was unsealed Thursday, Red Dog is accused of killing Kenzley Olson while committing the crime of felony child abuse April 19 within the borders of the Fort Peck Indian Reservation.
