Having lost many of his service photos and mementos when his home flooded earlier this year, World War II veteran Cruce Lansford of Tulsa is more determined than ever to hang on to his memories.
For that reason, this week’s Cherokee Warrior Flight couldn’t have come at a better time.
One of six Cherokee Nation veterans who will depart Monday from Tulsa International Airport for Washington, D.C., Lansford, 90, is looking forward to the three-day trip and the chance to revisit old memories while making new ones.
