Arizona Superintendent Diane Douglas wants $19 million more for schools
Budget season has begun, and the state's top education leader has put in a request for an additional $19 million.
State agencies this month submitted their requests to Gov. Doug Ducey. The governor will over the next few months develop a proposal he will roll out to the Legislature and the public in January.
Education funding is expected to be a key point of debate during the next session of the Legislature.
