DECATUR, Ala. (AP) - A project that started as a dream to benefit special needs students at Oak Park Middle School has become a reality.
Twelve students with various physical and mental challenges entered the school’s new outdoor classroom and planted produce they will harvest sometime before winter.
“This is project-based learning at its finest,” said Decatur City Schools Superintendent Dan Brigman.
