Speaker series focuses on Native American culture

MANKATO — Ron Schirmer, an anthropology professor at Minnesota State University, goes into a speaking engagement with two goals in mind.

No. 1, he hopes to not say anything dumb. No. 2, he hopes to leave people with a better understanding of the topic at hand.

Schirmer will hope to avoid the first and nail the second during his First Friday at First Presbyterian Church speaking engagement on Native American culture.
