Media Invited to Tour New Eagan Hy-Vee Store Friday

EAGAN, Minn. (Sept. 6, 2016) — Local media are invited to get an early look at the new Hy-Vee store in Eagan, located at 1500 Central Park Commons Drive, on Friday afternoon. Reporters will have the opportunity to tour the store, ask Hy-Vee officials questions and take photos and video.

After several months of construction, the new Eagan Hy-Vee store will open its doors to the public at

6 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13, for its official grand opening.

The new approximately 99,700-square-foot store will feature the amenities Hy-Vee has become known for as well as several of the company’s new departments, including a Sweet Shoppe with decadent pastries and cakes; a juice and smoothie island; an Asian grill; Cocina Mexicana with made-to-order fresh Mexican food offerings; and a bagel shop. The Eagan Hy-Vee also will offer British-inspired international fashion label, F&F — an affordable, quality clothing line for men, women and children.

In addition, the Eagan Hy-Vee will feature a full-service Hy-Vee Market Grille restaurant with a bar; made-to-order salad and sushi bars; charcuterie, specialty cheese and artisan bread; in-store chefs and cooking demonstration stations; a wine and spirits department; a pharmacy with drive-up window; an in-store express health clinic, dietitian and wellness department; a large HealthMarket and bulk foods section with 6,500 items; 1,250 fresh produce items, including Homegrown and organic; 6,500 specialty items; floral design and shop; an in-store Starbucks kiosk; mother’s rooms; dry cleaning and postal services; and Aisles Online grocery delivery and pickup service.

The store will stay open 24 hours, 7 days a week and will carry about 63,000 items.

Hy-Vee has invested more than $20 million in the community to build, furnish and stock the grocery store. The new Eagan Hy-Vee also has created 735 local jobs, including 185 full-time positions.
