Swearing-In Ceremony held during August 9, 2016 Regular Tribal Council Meeting - P12

On Tuesday, August 9, 2016, the Regular Tribal Council Meeting opened at the Red Lake Casino Event Center, where the first order of business was the certification of the 2016 Election results and the swearing-in of officers.

Sworn into office was Little Rock Representative Richard Barrett who defeated William "Billy" King, Red Lake Representative Robert "Bob" Smith who defeated Donald Good, Redby Representative Allen D. Pemberton Sr. who defeated Darrell Johnson and the new Ponemah Representative, Glenda Martin, who defeated Dan Johnson.

All representatives were incumbents except for Glenda Martin. She replaces former Ponemah Representative Randall Kingbird, who lost in the primary election this year.

They will all serve 4-year terms of office and won't come up for election again until 2020.

After the ceremony and feast, the Regular Tribal Council Meeting reconvened at the Red Lake Government Center.
