At August's end, multiple county and city road projects are coming to a finish

BEMIDJI -- As the calendars get closer to switching from summer to fall months, construction crews remain out on city and county roads to finish work on multiple projects.

At the county level, a total of five projects with construction on nine roads and multiple intersections have been worked on over the summer months, with some of them still in progress.

The largest project, which began a couple weeks ago according to Beltrami County Engineer Bruce Hasbargen, includes 35 miles of resurfacing work. The work is mainly grinding up the old roads and relaying a new bituminous surface, Hasbargen said.
