Enough signatures received for next step in placing medicinal marijuana on ballot
State question 788, which deals with legalizing medicinal marijuana, is a step closer to being on the November ballot.
The Oklahoma Secretary of State Chris Benge announced that his office has completed counting signatures for the petition for State question 788.
A total of 67,761 signatures were counted for the proposed state question. This surpasses the 65,987 needed for an initiative petition amending Oklahoma statues to be placed on the election ballot, according to a release from the Oklahoma Secretary of State and Native American Affairs.
