Jami "Dolly" Jo-Ann Headbird, age 29, "Mide Nibi Ikwe" which means "Sacred Water Woman" began her spiritual journey on Friday, August 19th, 2016 from her home in Cass Lake. She was born on March 6th, 1987 in Bemidji, Minnesota to Shari Headbird-Archambault and Donnie Harrison, Sr.

Jami was born in Bemidji, MN but later moved to Minneapolis where she attended grade school and graduated from 4 Directions High School. After high school she attended Culinary Arts School at MCTC. Shortly after Culinary School she moved back up north and attended the Leech Lake Tribal College graduating with an Associate's degree.

Jami loved her girls to the moon and back. She worked hard every day, at various jobs, to provide for them. There wasn't anything she wouldn't do to make a better life for her babies. They were her world!

Jami had a special and unique relationship with every member of her family, especially her sisters; Sherri and Niibin. The bonds she made with her nieces, nephews and cousins will never be broken. Jami was everyones keeper, always taking care of everyone before taking care of herself. She was the brave one when everyone else was scared. Jami wasn't afraid to put other people's safety before her own and was never shy about speaking her mind.

Welcoming Jami to the spirit world are her infant brother; Justin Harrison, grandmas; Shirley Raish and Ruby Losh, special auntie; Roberta "Boona" Headbird and cousin; Conrad Buckanaga.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters; Ninde' Armstrong-Headbird and Nin' Zaagi' iwin Onizhishi Armstrong-Headbird, her special friend; James Armstrong, her mother; Shari (Blaine) Headbird-Archambault of Cass Lake, her father; Donnie (Tina) Harrison, Sr. of Cass Lake, brothers; Billy (Maggie) Headbird of Cass Lake, Elliot (Jade) Gillis of Deer River, Donnie Harrison, Jr. of Deer River and James Robinson of Cass Lake, sisters; Sherri Seelye of Cass Lake, Ashley (Mike) Harrison of Onigum, Kate Lynn (Tyler) Harrison of Bemidji, Lynette Archambault of Minneapolis and Valerie (Michael) McGee of Minneapolis, grandpa; Donnie Harrison, numerous other aunties, uncles, cousins and many friends.

A wake for Jami will begin at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, August 21st and continue until her 11:00 a.m. traditional service on Tuesday, August 23rd all being held at the Mission Community Center in Mission/Cass Lake.
