Planned Power Outage Scheduled

Bemidji, Minn. – Minnkota Power Cooperative will be performing scheduled maintenance on two substations in Beltrami Electric's service area beginning at 12:01 a.m. and lasting until 5:00 a.m., Thursday, August 18, 2016. The outage will affect approximately 2000 Beltrami Electric members.

The following substations and areas will be affected:

- Leech Lake substation: This includes Steamboat Lake and south to the north end of Walker, Oakpoint and Kabekona Lake and also east of Laporte

- Laporte substation: This includes the city of Laporte and Kabekona

In the event that we have unforeseen circumstances, like a thunderstorm, the prearranged outage would be moved to the same time frame on August 19, 2016
