Man injured in Cass County hatchet attack

BEMIDJI--An adult male was injured Saturday after an assault with a hatchet in Cass County, according to a release from the sheriff’s office.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an assault at about 12:58 a.m. Saturday. Officers arrived on the scene and found the victim, who was transported to Sanford Medical Center in Bemidji.

Officers searched the area but did not find any suspects. The investigation is ongoing.
