Fatal northeast Minneapolis shooting appears to be neighbors' dispute, police say
Minneapolis police are investigating a fatal shooting in northeast Minneapolis that appears to have been the result of a neighbors’ dispute.
Officers were called to the 100 block of 15th Avenue NE., near Main Street just after 8:30 p.m., police spokesman Corey Schmidt said. They found a man lying on the sidewalk with a bullet wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A male suspect approached officers at the scene and was arrested, Schmidt said. Police believe the shooting was the culmination of a dispute between neighbors on 15th Avenue NE., he said. No other suspects are being sought.
