Allen George Cloud, age 61, of Oak Point and the Waabizheshii (Martin) Clan journeyed to the spirit world on Saturday, August 6, 2016 from Sanford Hospital in Bemidji with his family by his side. Allen was born in Cass Lake, Minnesota on December 6, 1954, the son of John and Mary (Burnette) Cloud.

Allen was a very caring and loving father and grandfather to all his children and grandbabies. He raised his five youngest children alone after separating from their mother. Allen had many hobbies such as hunting, ricing, picking boughs, netting and gambling. He enjoyed being outside in nature, providing for his family and liked to have a good time with his family and friends. Throughout his life he worked at various jobs but he really loved being a carpenter for his brother Spencer. He will be missed by many.

Those welcoming Allen to the spirit world are his parents; John and Mary, son; Justin Allen Cloud, infant twin siblings, special brother; Douglas Cloud, son-in-law; Donald Kamrowski, grandparents; Alice and Pete Cloud and several other relatives.

Those he leaves behind to cherish his memory are his sons; Jonathon and Peter Cloud both of Cass Lake, daughters; Ann, Catrina (David Staples, Jr.), Cierra (Douglas Dick, Jr.), Traci and Crystal Cloud all of Cass Lake, sisters; Annette, Alice and Amanda Cloud all of Oak Point and Anita Cloud of Cass Lake, 23 grandchildren and twin grandchildren on the way, 3 great grandchildren and one on the way, numerous nieces, nephews, aunties, uncles and many friends.

A wake for Allen will begin at 7:00 p.m., Monday, August 8th and continue until his 10:00 a.m. traditional native service on Wednesday, August 10th all being held at the Oak Point Community Center in Oak Point. Mike Dahl will be his spiritual advisor. Laying Allen to rest will be Butch Johnson, Spencer Whitefeather, Douglas Dick, Jr., David Staples, Jr., Randy Cloud and Ron Cloud. The alternate pallbearer is Stan Chief. His honorary pallbearers are Jonathon Cloud, Peter Cloud, John Boy Whipple, Richard Schulman, Sr., Robert Whipple and Linda Cloud. Interment will be in the Cloud Cemetery at Oak Point immediately following his Wednesday service.
