NN AG: Shipley acted as 'judge, jury, executioner'

After months of protesting that U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch investigate the March 27 fatal shooting of Loreal Tsingine, her family’s wish has been granted. The DOJ will be getting involved.

DOJ spokesperson Wyn Hornbuckle said the DOJ agreed to review the March 27 fatal shooting of Loreal Tsingine. Their announcement came after Maricopa County Attorney Bill Montgomery said his office would not seek charges against Shipley after reviewing the Arizona Department of Public Safety’s investigation.

A few days after Montgomery’s decision, Winslow police officer Austin Shipley’s body video cam was released.
