Metro Transit now offering All-Day passes

Metro Transit has a new fare option for transit users heading to concerts, sporting events and those who make multiple trips a day.

The area's largest transit agency recently debuted its All-Day Pass, which allows riders to take unlimited trips on local and off-peak express buses and light-rail trains from the moment of purchase until 2 a.m. the following day. The new pass, which costs between $1 and $4.50 depending on time of purchase, is not valid on Northstar commuter trains.

That means fans taking transit to the first major event at U.S. Bank Stadium on Wednesday won't have to worry if the soccer match between A.C. Milan and Chelsea goes into overtime.
