Clearwater County man arrested for criminal sexual conduct

BEMIDJI -- A 36-year-old Clearwater County man was arrested last week on charges of first and second-degree criminal sexual conduct with a victim younger than 13 and possession of child pornography in Clearwater County, according to a release from the Clearbrook-Gonvick Police Department.

Clearbrook Chief of Police Daniel Gazelka said there was more than one victim.

A warrant was issued July 25 for the arrest of Andrew George Damann after an investigation by police, according to Gazelka. Damann “bounces around” between a few houses, according to Clearwater County Sheriff Darin Halverson. According to the release, officers executed four search warrants before Damann’s arrest, which was at his father’s home outside of Shevlin, Minn, Halverson said.
