Officials seek state, federal funds for storm damage

BEMIDJI—The late July storms may have passed through Beltrami County but work remains for government officials, both on the ground and in the office.

County officials are hoping for a state and federal disaster declaration to help offset costs associated with damages from the July 19 and July 21 storms.

At the Beltrami County Board of Commissioners' work session Tuesday, Emergency Manager Chris Muller gave a detailed report on the storms, both of which caused significant and widespread damage across the county.
