Iron man charged with arson

An Iron man faces a first-degree arson charge after allegedly admitting to starting five fires inside his father's trailer home on Sunday.

Eric Duane Knaffla, 37, was formally charged Tuesday in State District Court in connection with the fire.

The fire was reported just before 4:30 p.m. Sunday at 8610 North Horseshoe Lane in Clinton Township, just south of Virginia. Responding authorities found the house fully engulfed.
