BEMIDJI -- The Beltrami County Board of Commissioners were introduced to a memorandum of understanding Tuesday between the government and Bemidji School District.
The document, presented at the board's work session, comes after the district made a proposal to the county to support traffic improvements on Division Street where a new school is being built.
The new school, Gene Dillon Elementary, is a facility for grades 4-5 and is set to be built at the intersection of Division Street and Becida Road. Because of the expected traffic impacts of a new school, the district has been in communication with the county to create a cost sharing plan for improvements on Division Street.
