Man charged with witness tampering in Itasca County beheading case

The brother of a woman suspected of being an accomplice in the beheading of an Iron Range man has been charged with witness tampering.

Joeseph Allen Greniger, 20, of Grand Rapids was charged Tuesday in State District Court in Grand Rapids with one count of felony first-degree tampering with a witness.

The charge stems from alleged multiple attempts made by Greniger to threaten a witness, saying the witness “snitched” on his sister.
