Heat wave to move through area

BEMIDJI -- The Bemidji area is just on the edge of an excessive heat watch issued by the National Weather Service in Grand Forks, which oversees the Bemidji region.

Heat index values near 105 degrees — fueled by high temperatures and humidity — are expected across northeast North Dakota and northwest Minnesota. The heat watch does not include Beltrami County, but is just to the south in Hubbard County as well as west to North Dakota.

The weather service forecasts a high of 90 on Wednesday and 91 on Thursday for Bemidji.
