JPB approves resolutions for downtown treatment centers

BEMIDJI -- Efforts to increase mental health and addiction treatment resources in Bemidji took a step forward Wednesday with the area Joint Planning Board approving two permits.

The board was presented with two resolutions to approve requests from the Upper Mississippi Mental Health Center and the organization Face it Together. Both entities plan to use a building at 408 Beltrami Ave. NW, with Face it Together in the front and the UMMHC in the back.

The building for the two facilities was previously a section of the Ben Franklin Crafts store that closed last year.
