Arnold J. Thompson

(July 25, 1954 - July 3, 2016)

Arnold Thompson, age 61 of Cloquet, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2016 at Augustana Mercy Health Center in Moose Lake. He was born in Cloquet on July 25, 1954. Arnold graduated from Sibley High School in Mendota Heights, MN and then attended aerospace tooling school in Wichita, KS. Arnold worked for the Lear Jet Company and also the space shuttle industry as a tool maker and machinist.

Arnold was preceded in death by his brother Steve in 2000; infant twin sister; and his grandparents Joe and Theresa Thompson. He is survived by his father Frank Thompson; son Andy (Melissa) Thompson; daughters Theresa and Christina Thompson; grandchildren Morgan and Linda Sue; brother Jack Thompson; and sister Cathy Ann Thompson.

Services will be held Monday, July 11, 2016 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Cloquet with a 10:00 a.m. visitation until the 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be held at Old Holy Family Cemetery in Cloquet.

Luncheon and fellowship will follow at the Fond du Lac ENP Center
