Babaamaajimowinan (Telling of news in different places)
The Red Lake Band of Chippewa Indians will host an Ojibwe Language and Culture Camp on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, July 19 to 21, 2016 from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. for the fourth consecutive year.
The three-day camp will feature canoeing, lacrosse, Ojibwe bingo, moccasin game, plant identification, crafts, traditional Anishinaabe teachings and more. The camps main location will be the Ponemah Round House. Transportation and meals are provided.
Admission is free but limited in number. If interested in participating or for more information, contact Red Lake Chemical Health at 218-679-3392 or Ponemah Outpatient. The Camp is hosted by Red Lake Head Start Immersion School, Red Lake Chemical Health, and Red Lake Economic Development and Planning.
The Gabeshiwin (camp) is part of Red Lake Nation's Ojibwemowin Revitalization efforts.
