Bernice "Lady" (Loud) Donnell, age 78, of Redby was called home on June 24th, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born the daughter of William and Ida (Beaulieu) Loud, Sr. on November 12th, 1937 in Red Lake, Minnesota.

Bernice loved sports. She played woman's softball and coached the youth co-ed "She-Mah-Gun" team for 10 years. She also bowled in the bowling league, was a huge Red Lake Warrior fan and enjoyed watching the little league world series. When Bernice wasn't busy working her many jobs such as Cap, Red Lake Housing Finance, the Redby Post Office, Red Lake Casino and at the Red Lake Foods, she liked to watch her T.V. shows too, like the Young and the Restless and other game shows. She liked to escape to the casino when she could, visiting with her customers at the smoke shop, and more importantly, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Family that she joins again are her parents; William and Ida, her husband, Leon Donnell, Sr., great grandson; Baby Kris, sister; Margaret Loud, brothers; Robert Loud, Larry Loud, William Loud, Jr. and Francis Loud, aunts; Cecelia Brown and Sarah Loud, uncles; Johnson Loud, Sr., Clarence Loud and Bazil Standingcloud.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter; Sherri (Phillip) May of Redby, son; Leon (Toby) Donnell, Jr. of Redby, brother; David Loud, grandchildren; Cheyanne May, Gunther May, Kiani Donnell, Kendall Donnell, Leon Donnell III, Mika Donnell, Mikael Donnell and Korey Donnell-Whitefeather, great grandchildren; Taylin, Cynthia, Leonte', Taivion, Tallie, Lydell, Precious, Gunther, Chilyn, Saylor and Robin, numerous other relatives and many friends.

An overnight Wake for Bernice will begin at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 29th at the Redby Community Center and continue until her 1:00 p.m. funeral service on Thursday, June 30th at the St. Antipas Episcopal Church in Redby. Pastor Johnson Loud, Jr. will officiate.
