Body Found in Deer River

According to a press release from the Itasca County Sheriff’s Office…

On June 26, 2016, the Itasca County Sheriff Office’s along with the Grand Rapids and Deer River Police Departments investigated a stolen vehicle and missing person case. During the course of the investigation, the body of an adult male was found in rural Deer River, Itasca County.

Release of the victim’s name is pending notification of family members. The body of the victim will be taken to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the cause of death. The Itasca County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Itasca County Search and Rescue and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.
