Three Forks man who escaped from prison pleads not guilty following crash

BOZEMAN - Gary Joseph Conti, the Three Forks man who led law enforcement on a high-speed chase that ended in a crash outside Livingston last year, has pleaded not guilty in federal court to a charge of escape.

Conti, 70 years old, entered the plea Tuesday.

He faces up to five years in prison, $250,000 in fines and 3 years of supervised release.

Conti escaped from the Englewood Prison Camp in Littleton, Colorado, on October 30, 2015. FCI Englewood is a low-security correctional institute. He was apprehended after the crash in Park County.
