Fort Hall woman pleads guilty to cutting a wheelchair-bound victim

POCATELLO — Tanisha Phelps, 20, of Fort Hall, was sentenced Thursday to time served — 11 months, including six months in the Shoshone-Bannock Tribal Justice Center and five months in federal custody — for assault with a dangerous weapon.

Chief U.S. District Judge B. Lynn Winmill also ordered Phelps to serve an additional six months in a halfway house, followed by three years of supervised release.

Phelps pleaded guilty to the charge on April 11.
